- Christy High has three children, two are adults and one is currently in 6th grade at Mighty Oaks. Christy homeschooled her two adult children for a few years, then spent several years in private school with her youngest child before returning to homeschool in 2021. Soon thereafter the Lord began to reveal an idea that had been germinating in her heart for many years - Mighty Oaks Cottage School. Christy is a devoted follower of Jesus and dedicated to conveying a biblical perspective in all academic subjects to the next generation.
- Erin Robbins is a homeschool mother of two wonderful daughters who have now flown from the nest! She received her bachelor's degree in elementary education and her master's in literacy instruction. She began her journey in education as a 2nd grade instructor at Northpoint Christian School, and for the last twelve years she has been teaching writing classes as an Accredited IEW Instructor. She is passionate about integrating God's truth in every aspect of the educational process and excited about working alongside homeschool parents to help their students become all He wants them to be. In Erin's class students will move, ask questions, discuss possibilities, make friends, get their hands dirty, work hard, have fun, interact with peers, strengthen their skills, know Him better, and learn how to make Him known to others. She can't wait to begin the school year at Mighty Oaks!
Audra Blyseth gave her heart to the Lord when she was 13 years old and has never looked back. Her teaching experience spans over two decades and a myriad of settings, including (but not limited to) BackYard Bible clubs, churches, camps, and both the public and private sectors. She taught middle school Language Arts for Shelby County Schools and at Evangelical Christian School. A life-long learner herself, she has earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Development and Learning, a Master of Education, an Education Specialist degree in Curriculum and Instruction, and a Doctorate of Education in Educational Leadership. After teaching in a classroom setting for over ten years, the Lord called her to motherhood . Not quite ten years later, He has called her back into the classroom. She is ready to embrace this new stage with her family as they continue to seek and follow the Lord in all they do.
- Erin Smith received her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Mississippi State University. She has been teaching in the classroom for 6 years. Her love and passion is watching students grow in knowledge and become excited about learning! She recently got married in March 2022 and is expecting their first little one this October! Erin is so excited to be part of the Mighty Oaks team and all that God has in store for the upcoming year.
